On Wednesday (14th Agust 204), Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stirred up excitement by posting a photo on Instagram of a towering 7-foot(2.1m) statue that looks like his wife, Priscilla Chan. The statue, which Zuckerberg commissioned, was crafted by New York artist Daniel Arsham and is set beside a tree in what seems to be a verdant garden.

In the Instagram post, Chan, holding a mug that matches the statue’s color, jokingly asked, “The more of me the better?” The statue’s design, featuring a flowing silver robe, combines elements of ancient Roman sculpture with the T-1000 from Terminator 2. Zuckerberg explained that the inspiration was drawn from the Roman tradition of creating sculptures of one’s spouse, as he captioned the photo, “bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of your wife.

The sculpture showcases a gleaming silver robe draped over a bluish-green figure, resembling a polished, smooth version of the weathered copper seen on New York’s Statue of Liberty. Its eye-catching color and large scale prompted a wave of online comparisons to characters from “Avatar” and sparked humor about Zuckerberg being the quintessential “wife guy.”

Zuckerberg and Chan first crossed paths in 2003 while studying at Harvard. They married in 2012 and are parents to three daughters. Chan and Zuckerberg have been married since 2012 and have three children, who are eight, six, and two years old.

Arsham, known for his exploration of “fictional archaeology,” works in various mediums including sculpture, architecture, drawing, and film. He recently debuted the “Phases” exhibition at Fotografiska New York earlier this year and has been represented by Perrotin for a long time. However, last month, a complaint was filed with the National Labor Relations Board alleging that Arsham’s studio violated national labor laws.
